Rock Stage Lineup
Annie B. and the Vagabond Company
7:00 PM-9:30 PM

WAMI Award-nominated singer, award-winning video producer, & rock vixen Annie B. along with her band The Vagabond Company (ABVC), are quickly making a name for themselves in the Milwaukee & Southeastern WI music scene. Annie stands out among over 1,000 female singers in Wisconsin, as she was nominated Female Vocalist for a WAMI Award, and runner-up for two years in a row (2011 & 2012) for the Shepheard Express Female Vocalist Award. "Annie B is the second coming of Alanis Morissette! says Kevin Wondra of the Walker's Point Association. Alanis Morisette and Ann Wilson are two of the most impressive comparisons listeners have made about Annie's voice.
Annie started her career out on the West Coast. She moved to Los Angeles in 1999 and headlined L.A.'s best clubs with her band Shut Up Marie for 7 years. S.U.M. picked up college & commercial radio airplay all over the U.S. & appeared in national airplay charts as they were heard on numerous radio stations from New York to L.A. with their 2 CD releases. She relocated to Milwaukee in 2008, and has been since building on that momentum with her new band.
The ABVC lineup: Funk bassist Dennis Michael, hard-hitting drummer Dave Johnson, and innovative alt-rock guitarist Joel Drouin. Songs offered by Annie B and the Vagabond Co. reflect notions learned throughout the journey of an artist"¦ that life is short, so enjoy every moment, that the journey is really more important than the destination, giving hope to each listener that they will find their own inner peace. Your journey as an audience member will encompass an array of emotion and movement, creating earworms with undeniable pop hooks while at the same time, making you want to start up your own mosh pit, with driving drum & guitar rhythms and in-your-face vocal power.
Notable appearances for ABVC include various summer concert series & festivals such as Summerfest & Waukesha County Fair, numerous television, radio, and press highlights for the band including Annie on the cover HERLIFE Magazine, and a full-length debut CD garnering airplay all over the state. They're heading out for 9 dates all over the Midwest in April of 2013, headlining the HiJinx in the Heartland music & arts tour.
The band is also making a big splash on YouTube in 2012, with currently 17,000+ views for "The Jennifer Song"Â and 15,000+ views for "Over Me"! This is quite the accomplishment according to Diana Lopez of Diana Lopez PR, who works with artists to help get them into European markets. Research on YouTube views suggests that less than 1/3 of 1% of all YouTube videos achieve 10,000 views or more. This places these two videos in top positions over millions/billions of YouTube videos!
Annie enjoys the Milwaukee scene and all it has to offer, while making her own contributions to our local music AND art scene. She started hosting live events & shows while in Los Angeles she hosted numerous music productions including "Live on Sunset", Âproduced by Go Music Network. Just prior to her move, in 1998, she won the Western Access Video Excellence (W.A.V.E.) Award for a program she created educating young people about dating and domestic violence. The award-winning producer currently hosts & produces an innovative arts showcase series: Milwaukee Artbeat, which is an exploration and showcase of local artists of all types.
Annie also performs as a solo or duo act.
Witness Annie singing our national anthem at sports events around the Midwest. Her debut in this role was on Dec. 31, 2010, where she sang the anthem for 5,200 people before the Milwaukee Wave game at the U.S. Cellular Arena. "One of my most exciting career goals is to sing our anthem before the Superbowl someday hopefully with the Packers in the game!"

In Harm's Way
10:30 AM-12:00 PM

The band started out by the name of Supernatural and got their first gig at a talent competition at the Rhythm and Brews Restaurant in Saukville, WI. The band members at the time were: Justin Shininger(guitar and vocals), Nate Baughman(guitar), and Joey Schauer(drums). The band went on to place 3rd out of 50 in the competition. After that, Joey Schauer left and the band recruited Mikey Vichich as an alternating guitarist and bassist, Becca Minzlaff as lead vocals, and Luke Redmond as backup vocals. Nate Baughman was then transferred to drummer and the band name was changed to Ripchord. Luke eventually disbanded and Mikey Vichich left due to college. The band then found guitarist Zack Malueg and bassist Austin Mondloch to replace Mikey. Becca left the band and Justin Shininger has since taken the role as lead singer. Due to the growing production of original material, the band's name was changed to In Harm's Way. In Harm's Way currently performs in and around the town of Fredonia, WI.
